Hi Folks

I have a boxed bottle of a Johnnie Walker's Gold Label Kilmarnock 400. It belonged to my late grandfather. I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to Whisky but I know it was a Limited Edition so I was hoping if someone on here could give me any info on this particular product. Is it a rare bottle? or is it valuble in any way.?

here is some pics of the item

Any help would be much appreciated,

Thanks Very Much

Hi JimboC your grandfather has left you a a rare bottle of Johnnie Walker. The Johnnie Walker 15 Kilmarnock 400 is a quite a rare bottle of Gold Label.

It was released in 1992 to mark the 400th anniversary of the town of Kilmarnock being granted burgh status. Not sure of the current value but i would imagine it is quite a bit more than your grandfather paid for it.

JimboC Whisky Online currently have a bottle of the Johnnie Walker 15 400 available for £795. This is the shop price, you may only get half this amount in a private sale.

Thanks very much for the info its much appreciated I'm actually quite surprised at its value.

Well Alastair Imy Grandfather actually paid a grand total of £0 for it. He had a friend who worked at Johnnie Walkers and every now and again he would occasionally visit him and he would always bring him a bottle so that's how he ended up with it.

II still dont know whether I will sell it or not its really up to my Grandmother she was kinda curious about how much it could be worth and I told her I would look into it for her.

Once again guys thank you Very Happy
