So what do people make of the intended price hikes? I believe on an average isn't it 25%?
Bit naughty really blaming it on wheat and barley when it's clearly their success that's driven the hike.Greed? |

| Very much a supply & demand business move, they know they can get more for their whisky. |

Not greed, business.
They're out to make as much profit as possible for themselves and the shareholders. If you could sell something of yours on ebay etc for 25% more then you would wouldn't you
Doesn't effect me too much anyway, Hakushu 12 is the only one I really drink. I'm more of a Nikka man. I've stopped drinking Japanese recently as I can't justify the price for any of them. It used to be boarderline worth it but now it's not. Indian is the way forward now; really great stuff at very reasonable prices. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

The Amrut line is really very good indeed. It matches up well against some excellent single malts. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."
