Here's my taste notes today for Grand MacNish 150th Anniversary Editon blended scotch, 40%abv.
Color-Dark Gold
Body- Light
Neat-
Nose: Jelly beans, fruity, lavender, sweet, cream soda, parfume, orange peel, rum and raisin ice cream with sweetish mocha notes.
Palate: Fruity, citrus mixed peels, smooth and creamy, mild spice, hint of cedar wood and some old-fashioned chocolate malt from a soda fountain.
Finish: Lingering, fruit cocktail, heavy sweet syrup with a backdrop of a melange of honey dew melon and sweet apple.
Comments: Here's a much sweeter version of Grand Macnish in this 150th Anniversary Edition. This is a very easy drinking Scotch blend which is quite delightfully balanced and flavorful.
It won Platinum Medal at the World Spirits Competition "Best in Show"
Is it available in UK? _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

Cheers for the note Murray, Grand MacNish is one brand i havent tried, it isnt widely available this side of the water, it can be found but i have never sought it out. I wasnt even aware of a Grand MacNish 150th Aniiversary Editon. _________________ There's no bad whisky. Just good whisky and better whisky. |
