It seems more and more brands are getting into these flavoured whiskies. The Canadian Club 100% Rye sounds interesting, i wonder if it will make its ways over here.

The LCBO advert for the 100% rye reads:

"Raise this rye to your mouth and you'll taste the caramel and toffee goodness that Canadian Club is known for. Except here, you're also getting a much bolder, spicier character, thanks to the high rye content. Sip in cocktails or on the rocks".

I had heard that Candian Club had launched a 100% single grain rye edition of its Canadian Club. Rye whisky is certainly seeing a boost in popularity in recent times. Even Jack Daniels is expected to release a rye whiskey next year.

Innes, I believe Beam Suntory have plans to grow the Canadian Club brand and we just may see the 100% single grain rye edition over here in the future if it proves popular.

Just noticed that the LCBO store 5 minutes from my house has a limited stock of the CC Chairman Select 100% Rye. Will try to pick one up tomorrow.

I did indeed pick-up a bottle today of Canadian Club Chairman Select 100% Rye. I'll open it in the next day or so, maybe even tonight if the "spirit" moves me, so to speak. The lady at the LCBO noted that they received only 5 bottles and I was the first to purchase one. The price was right, $25.00 Canadian dollars or 13.80 British pounds equivalent for 750ml., 40%abv. If I like it, I'll be back for more.
Very Happy
