I tried this for the first time last night. It was before, during and after a huge feast. I understand this collection was released for travel retail. I believe my friends received it as a gift probably from the USA as I have never seen it on offer here in Ontario. I quite like it though it was hard to process my internal taste notes due to being caught up in all the discussions, social interaction going on and the endless food. Next time I'm there, I'll concentrate more on the whisky.

| I've had this in a bar a few times but because of the occasion (I was with a group of people every time) I couldn't pinpoint the flavours enough either. It was very enjoyable though, I'd buy it if I came across it at a reasonable price on duty free. |

| I have had a bottle of this, mainly bourbon cask with some sherry cask influence. I enjoyed it but prefer my Macallan with more sherry influence than what is in the Macallan Select Oak |

Hi Gregor. I do like the Macallans with strong sherry notes as well which I historically associated with this distillery. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."
