Here is one for those with deep pockets, The Glenlivet have announced the release of a very rare expression, The Glenlivet 1964 50 Year Old. This rare 50 year old is the inaugural release from "The Winchester Collection", the world's first series of rare and precious 50 year old single malt Scotch whiskies.
Just 100 bottles of The Glenlivet 1964 50 Year Old will go on sale around the world with a price tag of £15.400/ US $25,000 per bottle.

William, I bet it's a "goodie" and in the same ballpark price wise as Glenfiddich 50. The latter was going for around $23,000 Canadian when it was on offer at LCBO. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

I would love to taste this one Murray as any older Glenlivet I have experienced have been outstanding but the price is a bit rich for my budget, but it is always good to read about what the other half a drinking. _________________ There's no bad whisky. Just good whisky and better whisky. |

This looks amazing, I cannot imagine how it will taste, those few people who get to taste Whisky like this are very lucky people, the master distiller job is certainly up there as a job of dreams... Is it too late to be an apprentice at the age of 42  |
