Hi I was wondering if anybody here tried this whisky. I am wondering if I should by a few for my collection.

The Balvenie 14 Roasted Malt was very good, it was a limited edition release back in 2006, you may pay a bit for a bottle now. If you like a rich, malty, vanilla'd Balvenie then you should like this.

+1 on this. One of my favourite Balvenies, quite rich and higher proof/unchill filtered.


Not quite sure I'd pay today's prices, but if you can get hold of some reasonably then it's defiantly worth a try. Balvenie went through a stage of doing these experimental whiskies, the Medeira cask is good too as is the Islay cask (different from the peated cask, which was previously filled with heavily peated Balvenie!), both 17 year olds. Think these are no going for silly money though.


Still waiting for them to turn up with this 'heavily peated' Balvenie Smile it must be somewhere in the warehouse.
