Dalmore Prices (?)

Hi All,

I am a big fan of Dalmore. However, their prices not so much. I've got this massive burning desire to try the 25 (has anyone tried it). I've just seen the 30 has been released at £1,100!
and the 25 is £600.

Am I the only one that thinks their prices are to high?

No way would I pay £600 on a bottle of whisky, it would have to be very special for that price ?.

Didn't notice until now the lack of older official bottling's of Dalmore, over recent years the price tags they have attached to older bottle's are more expensive than even Macallan ?,

Dalmore works better as an older whisky, but you can get better sherry whisky for you money.

I do enjoy Dalmore expressions. Here in Ontario,Canada, the Dalmore 18 is about the same price as Highland Park 18. I also like the Dalmore Cigar Malt Reserve. When you consider what NAS whiskies are bringing in pricewise, increases in the top end aged whiskies are bound to happen. I think everyone has limits on what they will pay for a bottle and how often they will pay it. The alternative to buying a bottle of a very expensive whisky is to sample a dram at a pub which sometimes can be quite expensive too. However, you may be surprised and catch a super dram at what appears to be quite a reasonable price at a bar or pub or other establishment that sells alcohol like private clubs. This has happened to me more than once.

I am not a fan of the younger Dalmore, the older stuff can be superb but also way over priced.
