|
Hi All,
I've got this mad idea that I would like to buy a bottle from the year 1988 (year I was born, February) and when my son turns 18 we can both drink it on the day and enjoy it.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I know it sounds a bit daft, but I like the idea of putting something away for that special moment!
Cheers, |

Here's some suggestions Mr.C.:
Glenfarclas Distillery 25 Year Old 1988 - Authentic Collection (WM Cadenhead) 53.7%
Distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2013 by WM Cadenhead., under 100 pounds.
Glenfarclas 1988 Family Cask 56.3%About 200 pounds.
Highland Park 1988 / 23 Year Old / Cask #716 / Mackillop's
116 pounds
Highland Park 1988 / Macphail's Collection
97 pounds _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

| The earlier you buy it the more affordable it will be! I don't have any new suggestions but if money were no object the one I would go for is the Glenfarclas Family Cask. I haven't had the 1988 but all the Family Casks I've had have been spectacular. |

| I agree with Alex, the earlier you buy it the more affordable it will be and i am sure the Glenfarclas 1988 Family Cask will be a special whisky, all i have tasted to date have been excellent. |

| Nice choice, the glenrothes 1988 is a really fine dram, I'm sure you will love it.. By the wat the Glenfarclas 1988 family cask is fantastic too, but costs a good bit more, |
