Interesting! I know he does rave about Japanese single malts. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

| Not a surpise, i almost expect it to be either a bourbon or Japanese whisky, maybe my bad mind but choosing an American or Japanese whisky will not do book sales much harm in these markets. |

Incidentally, it's also a very very good whisky. I can vouch for its quality first hand having seen off a bottle.
Whisky of the year? Not sure, but I would certainly say a contender. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

| His choice certainly got the Whisky Bible 2015 some free headlines in some national newspapers today, would choosing a Scotch whisky as the whisky of the year have gotten free column space in a national newspaper, i doubt it. |

Don't think it'd be true either. There are some cracking scotches but there are some valid points made about the scotch industry sitting on its laurels a bit and the general move to poor quality NAS isn't helping. These places that have been doing good wood and maturation with little age constrains for years (America, Japan, India) are showing the fuddies how they need to look forward properly. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |
