Looking forward to this one myself. The details i got from The Balvenie are
100% Oloroso sherry cask matured
non-chill filtered
bottled at 47.8% ABV
no more than 650 bottles from each cask
each bottle with carry a cask number and hand written bottle number
The UK RRP will be £79.99, it is still currently to be released from the bonded warehouse up in Dufftown but should be with us within the month. Some more info about it here:
www.scotchmaltwhisky.co.uk/balveniiesinglebarrelsherrycask.htm
I will certainly be trying this and will let you know what i think when i do. _________________ There's no bad whisky. Just good whisky and better whisky. |

| I agree William the Coopers reserve was excellent, hopefully this matches the quality of it. |

Looks like a bottle will be getting ordered soon then.. I must say I do like what balvenie do though, more distilleries should put a single barrel into the core range, I want single barrel Ncf, cask strength, no colour, am I asking too much ?
You have to wonder just how high prices will go on what is an everyday drinking Whisky rather than a collection bottle, |

| Might be worth pointing out, that the Balvenie 15 year old is being discontinued and being replaced with a sherry version, so you might want to stock up on it ?. |
