|
The folks at the Pulteney Distillery in Wick have just announced the release of a Old Pulteney 35 Year Old limited edition expression. A limited release of only 2700 bottles will rolled be out worldwide.
The Old Pulteney 35 Year Old was matured in American ex-bourbon and Spanish ex-sherry casks. It is non-chill filtered and quite uniquely for a non-chill filtered whisky it was bottled at 42.5% ABV.
Limited to 2700 bottles, it will rolled be out worldwide and it has a retail recommended price of £500 per bottle.
Hopefully it matches up to the quality of the Old Pulteney 30 and more recently 40 year old which were both outstanding.

| Thats true, you dont find many whiskies bottled under 46% that are non-chillfiltered |

Glendronach 12 is 43% and non chill-filtered. There might be more (do Glenfarclas chill-filter?) but it's certainly rare. |
