The folks at the Pulteney Distillery in Wick have just announced the release of a Old Pulteney 35 Year Old limited edition expression. A limited release of only 2700 bottles will rolled be out worldwide.

The Old Pulteney 35 Year Old was matured in American ex-bourbon and Spanish ex-sherry casks. It is non-chill filtered and quite uniquely for a non-chill filtered whisky it was bottled at 42.5% ABV.

Limited to 2700 bottles, it will rolled be out worldwide and it has a retail recommended price of £500 per bottle.

Hopefully it matches up to the quality of the Old Pulteney 30 and more recently 40 year old which were both outstanding.

Thats true, you dont find many whiskies bottled under 46% that are non-chillfiltered

I dont think i have come across any original distillery bottling that was bottled at less than 46% that was non chillfiltered.

Glendronach 12 is 43% and non chill-filtered. There might be more (do Glenfarclas chill-filter?) but it's certainly rare.

I would think that Glenfarclas do chill filter or they would highlight it if they didnt
