Thought you would be interested in my friend's experience on trying the Balvenie 50 year. He was recently at a wedding here in Ontario where a wealthy relative of the couple getting married brought out a bottle of the Balvenie 50 Year which goes for about $38,000 Canadian or 21,000 British pounds equivalent. My friend noted after he was offered the dram that he "hid" behind a pillar and spent a good deal of time savoring the single malt. He is the same friend who once brought over an unopened 37 Year old bottle of Bunnahabhain over to my place to try. He is also the chap who took me to the Feather's Pub in Toronto to try some very rare drams a couple of years ago. He really knows his single malts.
He was very impressed with the Balvenie 50 which goes for about 913 British pounds equivalent a dram if one paid for it. A little over the top price wise. He did say it was really a stellar dram. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

| Why do i never get invited to weddings like that. I have heard good things about the Balvenie 50 but i doubt i will ever get the chance to try it unless i win the lottery. |

Sounds like a good friend , one who will pop in with a bottle of Bunna 37 year old.
I would love to taste the Balvenie 50 year old. What a fantastic thing to happen, attend a wedding and someone pour you a Balvenie 50 year old. |

| I have never read a review of teh Balvenie 50 but i am sure it will be outstanding, i dont think JIm Murray has even reviewed it in his Whisky Bible. I am a big fan of the Balvenie and would love to taste it but like Fergie it is one on my list for when i win the lottery. |
