On Saturday the whisky club members from Stirling got a private tour & tasting at Glenfarclas, they opened it just for us which was a bonus.

I managed just one sip of the following family casks, 1965 (outstanding),1970, 1974 & 1990, as we had to share Sad
we all got drams of the following, 12 yr, 15 yr, 105 & a 1978 family cask.

We then went via the Mash Tun in Aberlour, I tried a 1996 family cask and a finished the night off with a 25 year.

A great day out and the staff were fantastic, the production manager Callum even came out to the Mash Tun with us.

Sounds like it was a great trip. It has been a while since i visited the Mash Tun in Aberlour but it had a great selection of Glenfarclas Family Cask bottlings, i sampled a few on my visit.

Sounds great Stu! I have have always been incredibly well looked after when ever I've been to Glenfarclas.

Great line up too! It still impresses me how well priced Glenfarclas is across their range and I'd say they are my favorite distillery for a few reasons.

Nice !!
I do love the family casks, I've got a few and although not cheap they are something special, the older ones from the 60s are stunning, wouldn't mind trying something from the 50s but alas I don't think I'll ever get that chance ... It's a shame some of the other distilleries don't take a leaf from the Glenfarclas book of prices !!
