Its my 60th birthday and my father has given me £150 to spend on a "special' bottle of whisky.
I have had and liked Glen Grant, Glenfarclas, Clynellish, Aberlour, Old Poultney, Highland Park, Edradour, Balvenie, Auchentoshan
Cardhu, Tamdhu, Tomatin, Dalwhinnie - OK
I do not like western isles , heavy peat, heavy smoke.
Suggestions appreciated? |

If you like Glenfarclas then i can recommend the Glenfarclas 30 year old which is £145 over at The Whisky Exchange
Others i would suggest which i rate highly that fall within your price range are the Glenlivet 21 year old, Old Pulteney 21, Glengoyne 21, Balvenie 21 Port wood, Glenmorangie Signet |

| The Glen Grant Five Decades is superb, as its name suggests it is a mix of whisky produced over the past 5 decades. |

| For a few pounds over your budget the Highland Park 25 year old is excellent. |

| The Glen Grant Five Decades and Glenfarclas 30 are both great whiskies. |
