After contacting the distillery a couple of times including a phone call it seems that there may be unrest at Bruichladdich or that pesky cooperate multinational are telling them not to dispense information to the consumer. I can't get it out of them to inform me if they are now pulling the plug on the Laddie 10. The most important bottling in their history! Also asked if their stunning PC 10 year old has been phased out. Only time will tell but I love Bruichladdich and I'm a little disappointed not to get a straight answer out of them. What does anyone else think or know about this? Can't stand distilleries going to NAS bottlings alone Sad

Sadly, I suspect the Laddie 10 and PC 10 are gone in favour of a quicker profit with no age statement expressions.

The Laddie Ten is still available over at TWE but it has certainly disappeared from the supermarkets

They recently updated their website and having a look at their current range, Bruchladdich 10 year old is still in the range, just not available. I don't honestly think they will take away the 10 year old as the entry level and replacing it with a non age statement whisky ?.

Could be wrong but I just don't see it happening because they will have to replace it with a younger better whisky ?.

There is a strange silence from Bruichladdich at the moment.

Yep, can still find the Laddie 10 and Peated Expression here might buy myself some in case they do stop selling it.

Thanks for your replies folks! Incase you didn't know..Duncan Mcgillivray retires this summer with Jim Mcewan staying on just another 12 months. A massive end to an earn which I fear the brand will be consumed and changed from a brand to a bland. I certainly hope not though. Could be worse however..Laphroaig Select is the grimmest Islay release for many years!!
