I opened my newly purchased bottle of Old Masters Freemasons Blended Scotch just now and had my first dram. Bottled by Lombard.

Here are my taste notes:

Neat-

Nose: Infusions of sweetness tempered by fresh-picked gooseberries, purple plums bathed in heavy syrup, Aurora blueberries (fresh and tangy variety), hint of spicy red licorice, dried apricot and buttered rum ice cream.

Palate: Citrus marmelade erupting from subtle sweetness, banana split and Hawaiian pineapple, touch of peat and some late black licorice.

Finish: Long, orange peel, drying, lemon-lime notes, breath-freshening; mild herb, mint and spice reminiscences. Citrus explosions come in like the tide.

***This is a quality dram.

Sounds good.

It is very much aimmed at members of the masonic lodge. I have never saw it on sale here but there is some info on it at the Lombard website

Perhaps Jim Murray is a mason and had to give a high score Laughing

Sounds like a high malt content blend
