As the title suggests, I'd be really interested to hear about your experiences/ thoughts (good or bad) on the Duthies range of independent bottlings by Cadenhead's.
Always interested in exploring the world of IBs a bit more and trying to find value (and tasty whisky) outside core ranges and distillery 'limited releases'.
Have had some good experiences with Cadenhead's small batch and just wondered how the Duthies range shapes up? Look forward to hearing your thoughts.
I have had a Duthies Auchentoshan 16 year old bottling which was matured in bourbon casks, i was very happy with it for the price i paid, not had the chance to try any more Duthies bottlings as you dont come across them often in the whisky shops so i guess they dont bottle a great deal under the Duthies label or it goes to other markets overseas.
I have only had the Cadenheads Duthies Ben Nevis 14 year old Rum Cask which was rich, sweet and spicy. It needed a drop of water to drink as it was quite hot at 58.1%, i have not got a great deal of experience of Ben Nevis as they dont release that many single malt expressions but i enjoyed the Duthies rum cask expression.
