|
|
The Benromach Distillery Company today unveiled a new look for its flagship Benromach 10 Year Old but fans of the Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky needn't worry as it is still the same quality Benromach 10 year old single malt whisky that we know that is still in the bottle. Matured for 9 years in 80% bourbon casks and 20% sherry casks, then finished for a year in sherry casks which produces a truly outstanding whisky.

| This has become a bit of a favourite of mine recently, the new packaging looks good. |

| I love the Benromach 10, it's great value for money. I also actually really loved the (now old) label design too - maybe I should get a couple before they're replaced fully! |

The Benromach 21 and 25 were superb and so is the 30 year old but it is very difficult to get hold of the Benromach 21 & 25 now due to the distillery being mothballed between 1983 to 1998 and i would guess it will get harder to get hold of the superb 30 year old in the not so distant future. The Benromach Organic is young but an excellent dram with loads of influence from first fill American oak. Their Peat Smoke bottlings have been excellent also. _________________ There's no bad whisky. Just good whisky and better whisky. |

I've only had the 10 so far, I guess it's about time to try other Benromach bottlings too. I did consider the 30 when I placed my last order but I couldn't justify paying that for a drinking whisky, especially when other 30 year-olds like the Glenfarclas are about half the price. The Organic sounds like my kind of dram though, I'll give it a go soon. |

I've tried a lot of the range, don't think I've had the 30 though.
I find it all great stuff and can highly recommend |

| I do like Benromach 10 and priced for everyday dramming, i wonder if Benromach will be adding another age statement in the near future as thay have been up in running again since 1998, perhaps we will see a 16 year old soon or maybe an 18 in another couple of years. I do also enjoy the young and a little rough around the edges Benromach Traditional but it has enough smoke in it to make it worth a try. |
