I saw a highland park 1967 go for around £300 at auction last week. Past auction results include $1000 in the states, and although not a great guide whisky websites seem to have it at around £600.

Russell bare in mind that there was 2 different Highland Park 1967 distillery bottlings

There was a Highland Park 1967 bottled in 1991 at 43% ABV, todays shop price around £700

and there was a Highland Park 1967 36 year old bottled at 49.7% ABV, todays shop price around £1000

If you can pick any of them up at auction or in a private sale for around the £300 price andyl9 quotes then i would say it is a good buy, i would say the 36 year old is the more sought after.

Yes, sorry, that was the 24 year old that went for £300 at mctears auctioneers in Glasgow, and would also agree the 35 year old is much more sought after and much more expensive!!

And the £300 was hammer price so would still have auction fees on top, around £70 in this case

I bought a bottle of Scotts Selection Macallan 1979 bottled 2004 about 18 months ago for £120, it is long gone now, a decent expression of the Macallan, i was very happy with it for the price i paid.
