I came across this Canadian Whisky today at the LCBO commemorating the 100th Grey Cup Canadian Football Championship which is the Superbowl of Canadian 3 down pig skin football (not soccer). HIstory of this game is here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/100th_Grey_Cup
Jim Murray mentions this specific bottle in his WB 2014 and rates it as 87, a solid recommendation. The bottle describes the expression as "whisky with a hint of maple".
I would have bought 2 bottles, one to drink and one to keep but there was only one bottle on the shelf. Holding on to it for now.
On further research, I discovered that this was the only bottle left in all of the Province of Ontario, counting 634 LCBO stores. I lucked out on this one. (last one standing) _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

| Just looked this up in the whisky bible, sounds like it will have a big hint of maple. Enjoy it Murray if you ever decide to open it. |

Sounds ike you got lucky Murray. Gibsons does seem to pick up good reviews and seems to have a good bit of Kentucky bourbon influence across its range. As John says enjoy it if you do decide to open it. _________________ There's no bad whisky. Just good whisky and better whisky. |

Thanks William and John. The LCBO store where I got the bottle was only 5 minutes from my house. Great luck all around. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."
