It appears I have purchased a bottle of "Glen Orin 30y/o" from Aldi. Well a friend has got me a bottle....But he wants the cash!!
£55 and (probably the wrong forum) Im sure he said it was blended?!?!
Anyway, anyone tried it? is it worth that price? Anyone know anything about it/where it originates etc? |

I picked up a couple of bottles today. Having tried to find some details online, I can tell you there's not much about (yet). I understand this was sold last year in Scottish stores only and possibly there are only 3000 bottles of this around (unconfirmed).
I have seen some people already put it on eBay for £150
Not sure when I will open mine, but I am curious to see how this will line up against a Royal Salute or Ballantines 17. |

5of12in1908, i have had a bottle of the Glen Orin 30 from Aldi, it is a blended whisky and an outstanding blend at that, considering its age it is well worth the price. _________________ There's no bad whisky. Just good whisky and better whisky. |

I used to love her.....now I like her too! |

I bought this last year and added a post in the blended section.
It is a good value blend, worth buying at £50.
This xmas my blend of choice is the JW gold 18yr, I have 2 bottles tucked away but they do not last long
