Today I had my first pour of Jim Beam Devil's Cut Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky.
Here are my taste notes from today.
Neat-
Nose: Toasted corn in husk, pickling spices, vanilla extract, orange rind and strong cinnamon.
Palate: Creamy, orange syrup, spice and old leather, cedar wood and throat lozenge.
Finish: Longish, spicy orange marmelade, drying, hint of spruce beer and cinnamon rolls.
****An "in-your-face" bourbon with a kaleidoscopic array of aromas and flavors. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

I have seen this one over at The Whisky Exchange shop but havent tried it.
I see they describe it as
| Quote: | | A devilish twist on Jim Beam's regular bourbon, blending their 6 year old whiskey with spirit extracted from the wood of the cask itself, where it's soaked in over the years of maturation. |
I wonder how they extract the spirit from the wood of the cask. |

James, the only thing I could find on the extraction process is in this blog-
