Finnished off another bottle of the Bowmore 15yo Darkest this weekend with the bottle of Benriach Curiositas 10 Year Old Peated.

Emptied a few bottles over this weekend - Compass Box The Spice Tree, Glenmorangie Lasanta and a Glenlivet Nadurra, all of which will be replaced.

Mine was a SMWS Glen Scotia 9yr old, though I took a wee sample bottle before it ended.

This past week i have finished off a Tamdhu 1999 12 year old Provenance, Glenfiddich 21 and Ardbeg Uigeadail, already have a replacement for the Uigeadail.

Finished a bottle of 6 Isles most recently, perhaps last week. Haven't been posting in the dramming thread this weekend as I've been finishing off a bottle of Courvoisier Napoleon Fine Champagne VSOP. It had been open for almost a year and the nose was beginning to fade a bit, still tasted fine!

Finished 2 mini's: Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban and Nectar D'or. I have a full size Quinta Ruban unopened to replace the mini.

Finally finished another bottle over the weekend, it seems like ages since I last finished a bottle, and checking back here, that was the 20th Jan. I'm either drinking too slowly or I have too many bottles open!!

Anyway, Glenfarclas 12 was emptied over the weekend 1L bottle from duty free (or whatever it's called these days). Nice enough bottle but after a 1L bottle I'd frankly had enough of it, so glad it's gone now and not one I'll be replacing in a hurry (nothing wrong with it, just so much out there to try).

Finished off a bottle of Lagavulin 16 tonight. The profile of this malt has certainly changed, it can't really be described as a peat monster any more. There are enough layers to keep things interesting but it's not the whisky that was my firm favourite for many years. This hasn't been reflected in the price, which has crept up and up. Last time I saw it in the supermarket it was Â£48. Sic transit gloria mundi as they say.
