I'm not sure about Costco outlets everywhere in the U.S., but here in southeast Florida, I advise a run because this excellent bottle is priced for a short time at a mere $35. Costco's sign in front of the display indicates that it's an $8 discount from the regular price of $43. When it reverts back to the higher price, it's still a bargain as the G12 is normally priced at $56 and higher elsewhere.

Just came back from Costco in Southern Ontario Canada. Best I could do was a BBQ chicken. No liquor sold here other than in government stores.

Bought and opened one last week. Absolutely beautiful clean sherry dram. A huge leap up from the 10.

How heavily sherried is it? Does it compare, say, with the Glendronach 12 or the older Glenfarclas expressions?

Have not tried the other Glenfarclas expressions. Working from memory only, and not a side by side taste test, I would say the G12 compares favorably with the Balvenie 12 yr Double Wood in terms of sherry influence. IMO, there is a more pronounced sherry influence from the higher ABV (46%) Glenmorangie Lasanta.

It is strong but clean sherry (if that makes sense). I have it alongside a GD Revival at he moment and the GF 12 is like a lighter more refined version of it. Highly recommended.

Thanks, that does sound good. I have a bottle of Glenfarclas 30 on the go at the moment, as well as a GlenDronach Revival, and those two are probably my all-time favourite sherried malts. But I think I'll almost certainly go for the Glenfarclas 12 as well now it's on offer.
