Auchentoshan coopers reserve

Auchentoshan coopers reserve is a 14 year old, matured in American bourbon and Spanish Oloroso casks, 46% and non chill filtered.

Nose.. Gentle fresh citrus scents, oranges and lemons, then a sweet vanilla toffee kick, then there is the spice/ dried fruits that you would expect from the Oloroso cask,

Taste.. Nice and sweet, not overpowered by the sherry cask, fresh citrus flavours with a hint of barley sugars, then there is the dark fruits, dates dried oranges and that nutty flavour.

Finish.. A soft medium finish, it makes you want to try more, although it ends on a dry side there is a sweetness to it,

Another fine dram from Auchentoshan, typically light and far too drinkable, a good strength too, and NCF which I'm sure adds a little extra..
