Here are my taste notes for Jura 1995 15 Yr. Boutique barrel Cask Strength single bourbon cask, cask strength at 56.5% abv.
Neat-
Nose: Initial kippery experience, hint of Turkish delight, baked apple, syrup and faintest papaya note.
Palate: Honey, molasses, spice and burnt almonds.
Finish: Long, toasted apple wood, spice and smoke.
A few drops of water causes some mellowing on the nose but the palate and finish remain pretty potent.
This one is definitely a little smoother than the Jura 1996 15 Yr also listed. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."
