Can anyone shed any light on this? I Glenfiddich pure malt special reserve 43%. (1L) I had it off my grandmother, it's been in the cabinet for 20+years. After a search on the web the only special reserve I could find was 40%. I'd love to find out how old it is, any ideas how i would do this?

| Quite possible the whisky was bottled for travel retail/duty free sale which sometimes is bottled at higher strength and often 1 litre bottles. Not sure when Glenfiddich dropped the term Pure Malt but it was quite some time ago. |

| Cheers Kenny, that would make sense as my late grandfather was a sergeant in the Welsh guards but stationed in Germany. Was nice to know he had good taste in whisky. |
