I am not so sure buying the Glenlivet Alpha blind at £99 a go will be the next big thing in the whisky industry, and who is talking about it as the next big thing
Its an interesting concept, but quite an outlay blind. I guess this is being pitched at the people who enjoy their malt and want to test themselves and see how close to the age cask tasting notes, they can get blind.
Bit too much of a gimmick for me though, I'm sure it will end up being an 18 or 21yr old non chill filtered at 46% with no added colouring. Again I'm guessing it will be an ex bourbon cask or possibly first fill virgin oak.
I wonder legally if they have to say the abv of this bottle before they can sell it?
