Here is my taste note for Amrut Fusion from my dram today.
Neat-
Nose: Honey, vanilla pod, cantaloupe-lichee hybrid, bulrushes and caramel-toffee-orange.
Palate: Peat, iodine, medicinal, oily and warming.
Finish: Long, spice, hint of pepper, mint overtones and silky peat. The finish is spectacular.
***A few drops of water enhanced melon notes with a fruity peat palate and a peppery finish. I clearly preferred it neat.
This dram's got Islay, Scotland written all over palate and finish. India has got this one absolutely right-A gem of a single malt. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

| Amrut use peated Scottish barley as well as Indian barley to produce the Amrut Fusion, i wonder if they sourced the barley from Islay, a very good chance that they did i think. |
