Those of you based in and around London may be interested to know about this forthcoming event arranged by The London Gastronomy Seminars. It is at 6:30pm, on Wednesday 30th January 2013 (approximate duration two hours), at Senate House, University of London.
It will be a discussion, chaired by eminent wine & drinks writer Andrew Jefford. Representatives from two of the leading Islay distilleries, Bruichladdich and Lagavulin, will each to present their case as to how and why their whisky is distinctive.

William, that sounds like a super seminar. If I lived anywhere near there and not 3500 miles away, I would definitely attend especially since Lagavulin is my favorite distillery. Perhaps someone who does attend can give us a brief synopsis of the evening after it's over. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

I wouldnt have minded attending this myself, but it would be more than an 850 mile round trip for me. Just thought it may be of interest to anyone in the London area. _________________ There's no bad whisky. Just good whisky and better whisky. |
