| Could someone please help, i have aquired a bottle of John Haig Golden Age De Luxe, i believe it to be from around 1979 and was told that this whisky never made it to retail and can find virtually no information about it other than what is written on the bottle (john haig & co LTD, Markinch Scotland, 70% Proof 26 2/3 fl ozs 75.7cl ) Red Cardboard box with gold writing and boarder, could someone please let me know if this is a collectors item and what it is worth ?? |

Hi Rik
I cant say i have ever saw a bottle of this for sale but you often see adverts for it out of magazines for sale on ebay.
I would say it certainly has some value but i would only be guessing to what it is. Have you visited The Whisky Exchange shop they have a few old collectable bottles of Haig whisky from as far back as the 1940's for sale for around £200. The Whisky Exchange also purchase collectable whisky it may be worth contacting them and you could also contact Mctears auction in Glasgow who hold a whisky auction a few times a year, they have a website you can contact them through.
