Neat-
Nose: Dark honey, creme brulee, caramelized smoke, vanilla-oak, burnt marshmallow over a bonfire then S'mores (melted marshmallows and dark chocolate with cherries) and sherry notes.
Palate: Smoky oak, spicy sherry, creamy, touch of 1960's Florsheim shoe leather, concentrated spicy fruit cocktail syrup and ginger.
Finish: Lingering, oak, background spice, mature sherry, spent campfire and anise memories.
This dram has a nose of character and a mature palate for a 12 year old. Would be detectable in a blind taste test. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."
