My taste notes for Ardbeg 10 today

Here are my taste notes for Ardbeg 10 from my dram today and the state of my "buds":

Neat-:

Nose: Canon ball blast of peat, medicinal, iodine, smoky cantaloup, rowboat on the high seas with salt on the wind, hint of novocain (at the dentist's), hues of smokehouse, dentine gum and peppermint dreams.

Palate: Peat, sandy loam soil, bonfire smoke and ash, oily, pepper burst and hint of green chili.

Finish: Building smoke, spice and pepper flourishes yielding to sweet peat and aged green olives.

This dram is a blast from the past. This single malt is "prehistoric" and raw yet has a balance and seaman's grace beyond the weathered look. Scotland in a glass.
