My taste notes for Highland Park 12

Well, here's my taste notes for the dram I had today:

Neat-

Nose: Citrus, furniture polish, Murphy's Oil Soap note, honey and lemon, light sweetish smoke with a dash of peat, a hint of a vanilla malted milk fashioned by an old time soda jerk, sea air, pungent tapioca, buttermilk, butterscotch and lichee in sweet syrup and honey amid a bouquet of Chrysanthemums.

Palate: Warming, citrus, sweet hot cocoa, subdued spice, expresso crema ( the top foamy layer) and dark chocolate.

Finish: Long, cappuccino from a classy establishment, rich and creamy, residual smoke like an accent on a foreign word, just adding the "je ne sais quoi" to the final effect.

All in all, a pleasant, comforting dram which coats the palate with pleasantries and leaves the pocket a little flush for next bottle.

I really like the HP 12, however, I believe that years ago it was a much better dram than the one we know today, by all accounts it was a little more smokey and a little more of a rounded dram. Though I do think, along with the Tali 10, it's an excellent dram for your money.
