My taste notes for Balvenie Double Wood 12

This is the impression of my "buds" today:

Neat-

Nose: Chocolate macaroons, Turkish delight, honey and toasted puffed oats, sherry oak underpinnings, smoke coated with icing sugar, creme caramel, excess flour on bakery floor, honey n' musk melon, an air of citrus and diluted plum sauce, coffee crisp chocolate bar and mocha nougat.

Palate: Syrupy, sweet concentrated dark fruit, creamy, oak in a mild spice haze, brush of light cinnamon and spicy cocoa with just a hint of anise and mild black licorice.

Finish: Long, dark sherry notes, vacant oak panelled office hues, fresh fruit laying on a soft leather tray and swirling honey notes, creamy and smooth.

This dram is for real, bold yet finessed, complex yet balanced and one to have time and time again with equal pleasure.
