Here are the notes from my first experience with this lovely dram today:
Neat-
Nose: Wine dreams, caramel candy cane dipped in ice wine, oak n' nougat, cedar smoke amidst stewed rhubarb, hint of white truffle soaked in wine, honey n' oak and odorous musk melon amid a fusion of trifle and Turkish delight.
Palate: Grapes with a great history, a dessert wine with provenance, fine and mature amid a platter of warm honey, rice pudding and tapioca, coating everything on the way down with a glaze of sweet ecstasy.
Finish: Long, creamy and smooth, hint of mocha and buttermilk; the wine influence under the surface providing balance and finesse.
This dram is like the well-dressed man willing to give attention to detail and always aware of a mirror to straighten and primp. Another star whisky from Glenmorangie. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."
