My taste notes for Glenmorangie Lasanta:

Neat-

Nose: Cherry blossoms, strawberry infused honey, vanilla bean ice cream, sweet syrupy rhubarb concoction, coconut bits and papaya (the main fruit filling with hint of the peppery seeds) and lemon drops.

Palate: Honey and syrup, tart red grapes, creamy flash and citrus (mostly grapefruit).

Finish: Lingering, refreshing faint spearmint, spice, subdued honey and deep sherry note waves.

A nice sherried single malt. I would give the Quiinta Ruban the definite edge in a head-to-head, though of course the latter is a port finish. I would definitely stick with enjoying the Lasanta neat as water really tends to "wash away" it's quality and may actually trigger a faint sulphur note which is absent when enjoyed neat.
