Penderyn Madeira

Welsh whisky.

Nose:

Cream toffee, rich fruit and raisins

Taste:

Crisp and finely rounded with the sweetness to balance an appetising dryness.

Finish:

Tropical fruit, raisins and vanilla persist.

(Words straight from the box obviously).

But it is nice, I compared it to Bunnahabhain 12, which I stick to, although it has a dryness like Old Pulteney 12.

A bit on the stronger side, I put that down to it being non-chill filtered and coming out @ 46% but not in anyway unpleasant / overbearing.

Would buy again.

Sounds decent, I know you got a good price on it too! The only Penderyn I've tried was at SMWS and it was rank! It tasted and had the hue of flat Irn Bru. SMWS does get the odd howler though.
