My taste notes for Ardmore Highland Single Malt-Peated, 46%

Here are my taste notes from last night:

Neat-

Nose: Floral, slightly parfumed, sweet smoke, honey-dew melon, fruity, hint of fresh-baked scones, peat, baklava and creme caramel.

Palate: An intense peat rush, sweet spice, warming, licorice, bonfire smoke, iodine and hint of spicy mocha.

Finish: Creamy, anise, licorice, mellowing peat and a long finish.

This one is complex in its own right. The peat rush which erupts on the palate is well-received and its mellowing on the finish is comforting as the dram erupts in new flavors.
