Hi Guys,this is my first post on the forum so please excuse me if I am repeating information which has already been posted before.
I was not sure if this was the correct place for this topic.However here goes.
I am new to the malt whisky scene,having just dabled in the past with with blends such as Highland Park,Dalmore, Strathisla and Glenmoray being my mainstay blends.
Here in Dumfries and Galloway we are lucky to have a couple of older distilleries which have re-opened in recent years,i.e.. Bladnoch and Annandale.The latter is still very much in its early stage of renovation.I enclose a link to their new site,I am sure it will be of interest to many here.http://www.annandaledistillery.co.uk/index/welcome/ |

Hi Seamus and welcome to the SMW forum, i hope you enjoy you time here and it guides you to a few good Scotch single malt whiskies. The whiskies you have enjoyed in the past - Highland Park, Dalmore, Strathisla and Glen Moray are all single malt whiskies also and not blends.
Thanks for the link to Annandale, it is good to hear how it is progressing. I would guess they will be producing again at Annandale sometime next year.
I moved your post to the single malt whisky forum as i thought it would get more interest there.

Oh! how embarrassing,the erroneous use of the term 'blend' should be substituted with 'brand'.I assure you I do know that my favourite's listed are single malts

Hi Archer,here is a quote from their web site,I hope it helps to clarify.
