Here's my taste notes from today for this one. It's nice as I am want to say to compare drams from time to time from the same person to look at variations on the theme.

Nose: Prune nectar, sultanas, woody, oak forest after a Spring rain, unripe honey dew melon, lighrst drying coat of mild varnish, honey, wisps of sherry on a breeze buiding into waves of aromatic sherry, nougat filling, fruit dessert with a border of caramel syrup on the plate and caramel toffee apple on a stick.

Palate: Stewed prunes, pungent and strong; creamy, spice and then tartness, creme brulee and black olives on toast.

Finish: Lingering, dry finish, sultanas, plums and purple grapes (also tart), spice notes, hint of bay leaf and a shiny leather armchair that gramps may have sat on over his long years and finally black licorice.
