I've been thinking of buying a few bottles of this , a couple to drink and a few to put past, anyone tried it yet ! Thoughts ! And any info on the 1700 series !

| Only released in 2011 and is discontinued now, i wonder if this bottling was the Macallan testing the market before releasing there revamped no age statement range. It is a very drinkable Macallan and as it was a special edition it could be a good idea to tuck a few bottles away. |

I have finished the Masters & the Directors 1700 bottles, both nice but the Masters edged it, great value with both under £40.
I tried the Estate reserve in a bar at the weekend, really enjoyed this one.
I have a bottle of the Chairmans release but have not cracked this open.
