Another lorry has had its load of whisky stolen. This time thieves took 630 bottles of James Martin's vintage 1982 after slashing the canvas side of the lorry which was transporting it. The lorry was parked at Southwaite service station in Cumbria on the M6.

The 630 bottles of limited edition whisky is worth £50,000 worth of special edition James Martin's vintage 1982 whisky has been stolen from a lorry .



Only 6,000 bottles of the rare blended Scotch whisky were ever produced, specifically for the Portuguese market.

Every bottle is contained in a special presentation box. Have you been offered any?Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

The thieves struck at the service station, near junction 42, overnight between 2300 on Tuesday 22 April and 0530 on Wednesday 23 April.
