Dalmore 12

[Quaich1]

Thought I would present my taste notes for this dram.

Neat-

Nose: Here we have a deep, rich fruity nose, pungent and aromatic with wafts of stewed prunes, ripe juicy figs, wood that stored stone fruit; raisins, sweet puffs of gentle smoke, oranges, toffee, very ripe peaches and distant cedar chest.

Palate: Sweet dark cherry chocolate, hint of dark chocolate pudding, warming, woody/oak tones, hint of pepper and spice ( not over-powering).

Finish: Creamy, lingering finish, sherry notes, spice, nuts, library books, hint of wooden stir stick and ripe dark berries dripping off the vine.

This is a very flavorful dram which appeals to the open-air fruit market aficionado with well-balanced aromas and palate yielding to layers of complexity on the finish.

Cheers for the note Quaich1, I think i need to revisit the Dalmore 12, i have never thought much of it but it seems to be getting decent reviews these days.
