Tomatin 18 Years Old
2008 San Francisco World Spirits Competition: Gold Medal
This world class malt has been aged for a minimum of 18 years and married for a period in distinctive Spanish Oloroso sherry casks to produce an exquisite whisky
Nose:
Intense and spirity to begin. Delicious sweet sherry burst follows, plateaus with undertones of apple, cinnamon, vanilla, maple syrup with just a hint of smoky heather throughout.
Cask:
Matured in refill oak casks. Married for 8 months in Spanish Oak Oloroso sherry butts.
Taste:
Sweet and sugary start with an oaky edge. Develops in the mouth with a bite of citrus and dark chocolate. Long lingering dry aftertaste with warming alcohol finish which keeps the mouth alive for several seconds afterwards.
Colour:
Natural colour. Deep Golden Amber.
Strength
43%
