Spotted this on Harrods website, it is a little bit out of my price range.
If anyone is looking for the ideal whisky gift then check out the Macallan whisky gift set available from Harrods for the bargain price of only £55,000, not much considering it includes 6 bottles.
Here is Harrods description:
Macallan Linley Whisky Case
Macallan commissioned renowned craftsman Viscount Linley to produce this exquisite whisky cabinet. Unique in every way, this is the only one in existence, was produced solely for Harrods and contains six bottles of vintage Macallan malt whisky from 1937, 1940, 1948, 1955. 1966 and 1970, all especially bottled for this piece. It is handcrafted from English Burr Oak and also includes six bespoke Linley crystal tumblers as well as a cigar humidor. This is pure luxury. Antique dealers will be dying to get their hands on this in the future making this the perfect investment.
You can check it out yourself here: Harrods - Macallan Linley Whisky Case
I thought the Ardbeg Rifle Case with 2 vintage 1974 bottles of Ardbeg at £10,000 was expensive but this has got to be by far the most expensive whisky box set i have come across.

Hi William
I think i would rather have 5 X Ardbeg Rifle Case sets and £5000 change.
Seriously i would think if any shop was capable of selling either of these it would be Harrods. Nice to look though and see how the other half live.

Thanks for the link William. I could only dream of buying such a set, but it is now on my list of must haves for when my lottery numbers come up.

To be honest i couldnt imagine spending £55,000 on 6 bottles of whisky even if i did win the lottery.

I just noticed that both the Macallan Linley Whisky Case and the Ardbeg Rifle Case are no longer available at Harrods. Did your lottery numbers come up then Big Mac?

Keith | LOL Kieth, I wish they did, the Macallan i buy still comes in a cardboard box not a Linley Case.

Dont worry Mac the Macallan Linley Whisky Case appears to be available at Harrods again still at only £55,000 but the £4.95 postage is very reasonable.
