Lagavulin Islay Jazz Festival 2012 Whisky Announced

Anyone heading to the Lagavulin Islay Jazz Festival will be interested to know that following last year's exceptionally well-received limited edition release of Lagavulin to mark the Islay Jazz Festival, a special limited-edition bottling of Lagavulin will be released again this year, sourced from a single Refill Sherry Butt filled on 7th May 1997.

A limited edition of only 624 bottles, it is bottled at a natural cask strength of 54.5% ABV, and priced at £85 UK RRP.

I am sure these bottles will be quite collectable and drinkable as Lagavulin is very good with a bit of sherry influence

I would think many make the trip to Islay just to buy the jazz festival whisky as a single cask Lagavulin will be very collectable and a good one for the whisky investors.

I have seen last years bottle Lagavulin Islay Jazz Festival whisky in some shops for £650 so i would guess you would easily double your money with this if that was your intention. Personally i would love a bottle for drinking.
