This bottle is now available at the LCBO in Ontario, Canada for $190. Cdn dollars. Jim Murray rates it as 91.5. I see now that Ontario is starting to stock more Japanese single malts. I sampled some malts in Japan in 1981 during a trip but I can't remember what they were exactly. Malt whisky has been quite popular there for many years now.

I have sampled the Nikka Miyagikyo 15, i recall it was a light fruity sweet whisky, a decent whisky and like most Japanese whisky not cheap. It is £85 over here from TWE so you would pay around £38 more according to my quick calculation.

There is a very good piece about Nikka whisky which William done which you may enjoy reading.

Thanks John. That's an excellent piece about Nikka whisky and Taketsuru.
