I will certainly pick up a Caribbean Cask when i see one. |

New to the Scotch world but loving it so far. I've only been at it for about 6 months and only own 10 bottles but this Caribbean Cask is one of them. Unfortunately for me this, along with the Glenlivet 12, are my least favorite so far. Picked it up a couple weeks ago in Memphis, TN and I think it's the bourbon notes that I pick up from this selection that turns me off the most. Although I do enjoy a dram from time to time, it's definitely not a bottle I'll be purchasing again.
Anyways, great site here...thanks for allowing me to hang out and soak up some knowledge. |

Welcome to the SMW forum USFan.
Always good to see a new addition to the affordable to drink end of the Balvenie core range, i would imagine the rum finish will add a nice bit of fruit and spice |

| The Balvenie Caribbean Cask has been in the US for over a year now, i have a bottle which i have had a few drams from. Rum on the nose, definitely adds fruit and and spice to the Balvenie. I would describe it as being similar to a Balvenie 15 which was then given a rum cask finish. |

We've had it here for a while now but it has a hefty price 100.00 Canadian, that's about 35.00 more here than in Europe. For that price, I rather add on a few dollars and get a Lagavulin 12. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."
